In a season of firsts for the Symphony, tonight’s program is perhaps the most anticipated. Russell Peck’s Timpani Concerto will make its Mansfield debut with our own Matthew Bassett easing sounds out of the timpani that you never thought possible. With the composer himself on hand, the Mansfield Symphony Youth Orchestra performing side-by-side, and the stunning Brahms Symphony No. 1, this unique evening of up and coming stars will turn March on its head and send it out like a lion!
